Biographical Info

Sharon Smith is the Clinical Director of Creating Solutions Inc. with a long history in providing clinical supervision.  Ms. Smith founded Creating Solutions in 1997 to provide psychotherapeutic interventions for families, couples, individuals, youth and children experiencing interpersonal difficulties.  Sharon’s direct communication style is effective with clients who have been stuck in their interpersonal conflicts.  Ms. Smith has extensive experience in providing services to high conflict couples and families.  In addition to her clinical background, Ms. Smith taught Family Therapy for City University.  Sharon is a Parenting Expert in Alberta Courts experienced in interventions including:  Parent Coordination, Family Restructuring Therapy, family mediation and post-divorce high conflict Practice Note 7 Interventions.  Ms. Smith’s work with couples and individuals includes a focus on depth psychology and attachment.  Sharon has been an active community member historically volunteering as a board member for the Psychologist Association of Alberta and currently as an active member for the Northern Alberta Appeals Committee for Legal Aid.
