No two people will need the same support — you may need a collaboratively trained divorce lawyer and a financial planner, another couple may need a mental health therapist for counselling services and a collaborative divorce coach. Yet another couple may just need a family law lawyer who knows how to help a couple through a collaborative divorce.
You have multiple search options (All, Family Lawyers, Financial Professionals, Family Specialists). You can also search by Postal Code if you are interested in “finding a Collaborative Professional in my area”, or by name and keyword.
Hi, I’m Lucy Arruda and I am a Licensed Mortgage Broker as well as an Accredited Mortgage Professional. I have nearly 20 years of experience helping clients obtain mortgages and over 25 years of experience in the finance industry.
Going through a separation or divorce is never easy and it can be a very a stressful situation, especially when a home is involved and one party wants to remain in the home to offer stability for their children and for their own lives while going through so many changes. This is when you want to contact a licensed and accredited mortgage professional early in the process to help guide you through your options.
For many separating couples, this involves taking the advantage of the Spousal Buyout Program. This program allows one spouse to “purchase” the matrimonial home from the other spouse and other spouse’s name is removed from the house title. The program allows up to 95% of the house to be financed unlike the regular bank programs which only allow 80% to be refinanced. No longer being on the house title or mortgage allows the other party to move on with their new life and possibly qualify for new home in their own name.
You can always be confident that you will receive expert advice and service that is second to none. I ensure that the process is simple and straightforward and that you’re treated as an individual, never a number.

So you are married or living together and one of you owns a property, and you are thinking about putting it in joint names. Tread carefully, this can be a minefield.
In my meetings with divorce and common law separation clients I observe that there are typically many divorces occurring at the same time for any one family experiencing separation.
