Margaret enjoys working with her clients to resolve their issues in a timely and respectful fashion. Her goal is to provide practical, knowledgeable and compassionate guidance, and to help educate and empower her clients to make good decisions. Margaret is a rural practitioner with a focus on family law.
Margaret graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1981. She articled and worked with an Edmonton boutique litigation firm until 1985, when she returned to Camrose to work with Andreassen Borth.
Margaret is an active member of the Association of Collaborative Professionals (Edmonton). Margaret was one of the original members of this Association, and is proud of bringing this transformative area of practice to the Camrose area. Margaret has also been a contract mediator with Alberta Justice since 2002.
Other past professional and volunteer activities include the following: Board Member, Alberta Securities Commission, 1988-1994; one of the founding members of the Battle River Community Foundation, with responsibility for legal work establishing the Foundation; former member and past President of Business and Professional Women’s Club of Camrose, 1985-1990; Board member, Citizen Advocacy Society of Camrose, 1985-1986; Judicial District Representative, Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association, 1996-2004.
