Tony has practiced Family Law for 35 years and has appeared before all levels of Court in Alberta. He is a qualified mediator and arbitrator and has been a Collaborative Family Lawyer since its inception in Alberta in 2001. For several years, Tony taught family law, chambers advocacy and legal writing with the Legal Education Society of Alberta. He was the lawyer presenter of the Alberta Justice High Conflict Parenting After Separation Course for eight years. He served as Chairman of the Legal Aid Regional Committee and later served on the Northern Appeals Committee of Legal Aid. With this solid background, Tony’s approach is always to “keep the temperature down”, and work with clients to achieve a fair resolution without resorting to the Courts. He enjoys working with clients of every occupation and profession. Tony was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2010.
Outside of his practice, Tony has served as President of both the Royal Glenora Club and the Edmonton Whitemud PC Association. He was Chairman of the tennis venue for the 2005 World Masters Games and was Tennis Alberta’s Volunteer of the Year in 2006. In his spare time he enjoys playing tennis, flag football, golf and running. (Well – jogging. At least a brisk walk)
Tony and his wife Rita have two sons, two beautiful daughters in law and three gorgeous granddaughters.
