Dori Braddell
Divorce Coach
Dori Braddell owns and operates The Divorce Mentor, a full-time private divorce coaching practice. She works one-on-one with individuals throughout separation and divorce, helping them participate in their divorce process with greater clarity, confidence, and capacity for constructive decision-making.
Within a Collaborative Divorce team, Dori provides practical and emotional support that complements the work of lawyers, financial professionals, and family specialists. She helps clients prepare for meetings, regulate emotions, communicate effectively, identify their interests and priorities, develop and evaluate proposals, organize financial disclosure, and follow through on the work required between meetings. Her involvement helps clients make productive use of their professional team while remaining actively engaged in the decisions shaping their future.
Dori is particularly skilled in supporting clients through high-conflict dynamics, emotionally charged negotiations, complex financial disclosure, and challenging coparenting communication. Her calm, structured, and practical approach helps clients move away from reactive or positional thinking and toward informed, interest-based problem-solving.
Dori holds six professional divorce coaching credentials, including specialized certifications in Alternative Dispute Resolution, conflict, coparenting, and pre-mediation coaching. Her training is particularly well suited to helping clients communicate constructively, prepare for interest-based negotiations, and participate effectively in their divorce process.
Dori is also the Canadian Director of Learning & Development for Divorce Coaches Academy (DCA®), where she trains and mentors divorce coaches across the country while maintaining her private coaching practice.
Dori believes that well-supported and well-prepared clients are better able to make durable decisions. Her goal is to help each client protect their emotional well-being, financial interests, parenting relationships, and future while contributing meaningfully to a respectful and effective Collaborative Process.
